I grew up in South C and currently live in Kilimani so I have had little interest in the Ridgeways area until recently. Kiambu road has grown exponentially since the new road was commissioned 2 years ago and the Nakumatt ridgeways opened.  Suddenly that side of town is abuzz….I like to think a lot of it has to do with the newly completed estates eg#Edenville, #junctiongardens,# five star meadows but whatever it is…Kiambu road has caught my attention.

A lovely agent Mr Mugo drove me around to show me a plot in Ridgeways close to Ridgeways country homes. ..boy was I amazed by the homes out there.  Individuals have built fancy fancy homes. Gated communities worthy of note are the Almasi and Windsor Park. The windsor park (pictured here) is very cozy. Lovely homes but recommend for short rather than long stay as the rooms are a little small but very well planned, clean and organised. ..a fantastic fantastic place.  I hear they are now selling for close to USD 1 million…
